RACES Application Form: RACES Application Form (please fill out the form on screen, then print out a copy of it, sign it, and forward it to the RACES Coordinator)

Note: In Texas, RACES applications are processed at the state level. To become a member you must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must possess a current Amateur Radio license of Technician class or higher which has never been suspended or revoked
• Must not have been denied membership in, or had your membership revoked from, any other amateur emergency communications program
• Must not have been convicted of a felony
• Must be physically and mentally able to perform the duties of a RACES member

A background check will be performed by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) to verify this information.
